A very strange place

A few weeks ago, I went on vacation to St. Augustine, Fla.

It was a very strange place.

Normally, Florida does not conjure images of oddities galore – but St. Augustine sure had them.

I mean, it was pretty.

And, like in most old cities (St. Augustine is touted as the oldest in the U.S.), there were lots of statues and monuments of dead historical people.

But there were also some things that were just… Indescribable.

Go figure, right?

I think my adventures in St. Augustine with Mary Lou, my mother, are best broken up into a few posts. I mean, we are kind of overwhelming all at once.
