Hi, I’m Jamie (yes, I intended to use a photo that weird), and this is Tilt & Swing: my little corner of the internet where I collect things that, frankly, interest me.

Tilt & Swing was born eight years ago (at the time of writing – and let’s go ahead and date this page so you can see how often I update! I wrote this in November 2018) in the midst of a blizzard. I was bored and I wanted to take some photos and videos. I needed a place where they could live.

I also knew I needed a home for other photos and videos. I mean, does Instagram really want to house a collection of photos of a door turning into a table? Well, DIY Insta probably does, but I wanted to get some more words in there than a single caption allows. Hence, this site.

Over the years my posts became fewer and farther between. OK, if I’m being honest, I never really did regularly update this blog, and I don’t intend to set a schedule now. Some years I didn’t post a single thing. But now, I want to bring this slice of internet back!

Look here for stuff on travel, furniture, renovation, photography, my dog, old books, antiques and collectibles, drinks, food, maybe even some music … really, when I call this “an assemblage of interesting things,” I mean a lot of things.
